In china, the ingredients made of black bamboo root help the treatment of renal deseases. The medical researches emphasise the potential of bamboo in treating some deseases.

Thomas Edison succesfuly used a carbonized bamboo filament in his experiment with the first bulb. This bulb still lights up Smithsonian Museum in Washington DC.
